Frequently Asked Questions

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 4:00 PM (local time) and check-out is 11:00 AM (local time). Early check-in(s) or late check-out(s) may be available upon request. Additional fees will apply. Please contact the property manager for availability and fees.

Will I need to meet the Property Manager upon arrival?

Yes. The property manager will meet and check you in upon arrival. The check-in process will take approximately 15-25 minutes which will include a walk-through of the property for guests to get better acquainted with the home, its operations and amenities. The City also requires in- person “wet signatures” from all registered guests to confirm that they have reviewed and understand the City’s rules and regulations. If for any reason the property manager is unable to meet in person at the time of check-in, perhaps due to a late arrival, the City requires the property manager to meet-in person at the property within 24 hours of your arrival to discuss the rules, regulations and to collect in-person signatures.

What is the max occupancy?

Max overnight occupancy is 14 (including children under the age of 12). There is a maximum of four (4) daytime guests allowed but not to exceed a total of 16 daytime occupants as permitted by the City of Palm Spring.

Is there parking onsite?

Yes. There is parking onsite. Max six (6) vehicles allowed. The number of guests and vehicles on the property is strictly limited by Palm Springs local ordinance and must be followed at all times. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring that all visitors comply with the same rules and regulations, no exceptions. Cars should be parked first inside the security gate and the driveway. Street parking should only be used as the last resort and cars must be parked in front of the property.

What is the “Good Neighbor” policy?

Being respectful and courteous to the surrounding neighbors. A copy of the Good Neighbor Brochure is located by the front door at KINN HOUSE for your reference and reminder.

Can I play music outdoors on my phone or portable speaker?

No. There is no outdoor music or amplified sounds (i.e. speakers, TV, phones etc.) allowed and is strictly prohibited. Please keep doors closed when playing music indoors. Keep outdoor noise to a reasonable level that would not disturb or cause a nuisance to neighbors. Please be respectful and considerate.

What are quiet hours?

The city of Palm Springs has a sound ordinance that must be followed. There is a strict 10:00 PM curfew for any/all outdoor noise. Please consider moving indoors after 10:00 PM. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM.

Is the pool heated?

Yes. KINN HOUSE is equipped with a saltwater pool. Heating the pool requires advance notice and is subject to additional fees, if it is requested. Please notify the property manager in advance if you wish to have it turned on. It requires 7-8 hours to warm up. Pool is serviced twice a week on every Monday and Thursday.

Are there check-out tasks to follow?

Yes. We would appreciate it if you can help tidy up before checking out. Excessive cleaning fee(s) may occur if the home is left unkept and not returned in the same condition in which it was delivered.

Upon checkout please be sure to do the following:

[ ] All trash must be taken out and placed in the appropriate bins. Do not leave trash outside the bins on the street.

[  ] Load all dishes into the dishwasher(s).

[  ] Place all towels on top of washing machine(s). Start one load of laundry if possible.

[  ] Empty the refrigerator(s).

[  ] Collect all personal belongings.

[  ] Return all keys: gate remote control and Casita key

[  ] Turn off AC, heater and jacuzzi.

[  ] Return and dock iPad to its original location.

[  ] Return all TV remote controls + Casita AC mini-split remote.

[  ] Return fireplace remote + 2 outdoor patio fans (attached to wall).
